It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Doc Who Sang Hymns to Jesus During Abortions Faces Misconduct Charges

YES, you read that right...

Last week, LifeNews profiled Planned Parenthood abortion practitioner Timothy Liveright, who faces an official complaint from the Delaware Attorney General’s Office for injuring and mistreating women to who came to Planned Parenthood for abortions.

The attorney general’s complaint cites him for unprofessional, incompetent and negligent conduct at Planned Parenthood’s Wilmington, Delaware abortion clinic and calls him a “clear and immediate danger to the public.” The new state complaint says he engaged in “unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate” conduct that included “yelling, screaming, and cursing” in front of employees and patients and sexual harassment of female employees.

Liveright voluntarily surrendered his license to practice medicine in Delaware but the charges are moving forward.

A former abortion clinic staff said Liveright would chant hymns, including one with the lyrics: “Jesus, oh Jesus, take the sinners down by the river, oh Jesus.” She said one patient had tears streaming from her eyes as Liveright sang. The abortionist says he tried to “put patients at ease.”

A new report provides more details on Liveright’s misdeeds.

The state Division of Public Health cited the agency in April for 14 violations and said inspectors found “unsafe and unsanitary conditions.” For several weeks, no abortions were performed there. The review was triggered by abortions, including some done by Liveright, in which bleeding or other complications occurred and injured patients had to be rushed to the emergency room.

Deputy Attorney General Katisha D. Fortune accused Liveright of “incompetence and negligence” and of being an “immediate danger to the public” for acts such as oversedating patients, suctioning them unnecessarily, improperly administering oxygen and failing to avoid complications that sent patients to the emergency room, including one procedure during which he caused a perforation.

Delaware Planned Parenthood officials would not discuss Liveright’s work.

Authorities are seeking a permanent revocation of Liveright’s medical license in Delaware. Even though he has turned in his license, regulators said the complaint will still be heard by the state medical disciplinary board.

Liveright currently is licensed to practice only in Pennsylvania, where he said he has worked at Planned Parenthood in West Chester and clinics in Philadelphia. He is not currently practicing medicine there, he said. He once worked for Planned Parenthood in Trenton, N.J., Liveright said, but he let his license expire in 2011. Agency officials in those states would not comment on Liveright.

Liveright would provide shoddy care for abortion patients who had medical problems.

The Attorney General’s Office and the nurses painted a markedly different picture of Liveright.

Fortune, whose complaint summarized the findings of a Division of Professional Regulation investigation, wrote that his negligence occurred this year in February and March during five surgeries and was “dishonorable and unethical and likely to harm the public.”

While Vasikonis told The News Journal last week that Liveright’s abortion technique was first-rate, she and Mitchell-Werbrich described his behavior as troublesome.

Mitchell-Werbrich said Liveright left the clinic last June to tend to an emergency mechanical situation with his plane while patients — already medicated and awaiting procedures — sat in the waiting room. Two patients later were brought to the recovery room after “roaming outside confused and dazed,” she said. Two others in recovery endured cramps during Liveright’s absence.

When Liveright returned, she said, he went through the halls proclaiming, “Where are the patients? Let’s get the ball rolling.”

RN Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, who worked at Planned Parenthood Delaware’s Dover and Wilmington clinics for 3-1/2 months in 2012, talked more about Liverlight and his offenses.

“Nothing was right,” Jayne explained. “No drug guidelines, unsterile surgical technique, improperly cleaned instruments and rooms, and inadequately trained staff.”

But the worst offense of all was the clinic’s premier abortionist, Timothy Liveright.

Jayne documented what she saw and submitted letter after letter and email after email to her bosses, none of whom are any longer at the clinic, incidentally.

But Planned Parenthood Delaware liked Liveright. He was convenient. An abortionist circuit rider who lived in the Allentown, Pennsylvania, area, Liveright would fly himself to Delaware in his own private plane every week.

And he was speedy. “They were set on getting people in and out,” said Jayne. Liveright maintained such a hectic pace he sometimes cleaned surgical suites himself between patients, although not very well  – leaving dried blood behind, according to Jayne. Liveright also refused to wear sterile gloves during abortions and wore smelly, blood stained scrubs.

Other incidents, excerpted from a letter Jane wrote to her bosses (with slight grammatical editing):
•“During a procedure that another doctor was performing, Dr. Liveright entered the room to see how things were proceeding. The doctors had a conversation regarding the faulty equipment in front of the patient…. After the doctors finished their conversation, Dr. Liveright struck the patient’s right lateral thigh with force with his opened hand, stating ‘BREATHE!’ The patient, shocked and puzzled, looked at me as if to say, ‘What is he doing?’ I suggested that Dr. Liveright must have some sort of unusual technique to help distract patients from the discomfort of the procedure. The patient looked at me, rolled her eyes, held my hand tight, and tried to relax and concentrate on her breathing. That is when Dr. Liveright peeks around the curtain (as he had not exited the room) and plays peek-a-boo with the patient. The patient then rolls her eyes and shakes her head stating, ‘He’s not right.’ The entire time this is happening, the other doctor is continuing to dilate the patient! I then stated, ‘Goodbye Dr. Liveright,’ as I pulled the curtain around his head….”
•“Sexual harassment: I have noted Dr. Liveright inappropriately look up and down patients as well as staff members in a sexual kind of way. He actually stands back with a grin and slowly directs his eyes up and down a patient’s body.”

Jayne said management told her Liveright had previously been disciplined for sexual harassment against a staff member.

Jayne’s letter also described Liveright as a racist in a bizarre incident with an African-American patient:
•“Dr. Liveright enters the room… and states… ‘Did you know that the Belgians took over Africa and did really bad things?’…. He continues to carry this conversation on with himself while he roughly dilates and then belittles the patient…. (by the way, a patient that is crying and holding on to my hand tight, as I try to distract her from him)…. He states, ‘The United States does the same thing. Did you know that?’ The patient, with tears falling down her cheeks, shakes her head, indicating, ‘No,’ which Dr. Liveright replies, ‘I didn’t think you’d know anything about that. Yup, the United States is a big bully.’”

Jayne also described Liveright coming to work late or leaving in the midst of providing services due to “emergencies,” such as a meeting with an airplane mechanic or a problem with his pet goats. (I don’t even want to think about that one.) This meant pre-op patients were left sedated in the waiting room….
•“A few of those medicated patients left the building and were outside smoking and such. Two patients were brought to me in the recovery room because they were ‘roaming outside confused and dazed.’”

Despite all that, PP would not take action. So Jayne turned to the State of Delaware and to federal office of OSHA. She submitted the letter she had written to PP execs and provided additional information. They, too, drug their heels. The state Department of Health & Human Services did inspect the facilities last autumn, but only after giving PP a heads up. No surprise, it found nothing out of line.

Finally, OSHA found an infraction. Armed with a letter from OSHA, Jayne and another former co-worker, Joyce Vasikonis, went to their local ABC News station.
