It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Yep, that's right! I heard it myself. The wife and I watched his tightrope walk, and I must say, while it was an amazing shot of him on that rope, I did nothing but cringe at him "praying" the whole time.

To make matters worse, Joel Olsteen was there and they had a little group prayer outside before the walk, in front of the cameras, with Olsteen leading the heresy.

Apparently, Wallenda is a Olsteen fan.

And during the walk, "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh", Wallenda actually called Jesus a sorcerer!

Oh, and he rebuked the wind too! In the name of Jesus of course.  Roll Eyes

These idiots think they can command God at will.

Not everything is as it seems.

9  And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10  For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11  And in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12  And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Luke 4:9-12 (KJB)

It took Wallenda about 12 minutes to reach the halfway point, when winds started to kick up a bit, prompting more prayer from Wallenda.

"Definitely whipping that cable. ... Golly, wind. Go away, in the name of Jesus. ... Thank you Lord. Thank you for calming that cable, Lord. ... Oh, yeah. That's my savior. That's Jesus."

"You're 16 minutes on the wire, doing great," his father radioed.

"You don't have to tell me how long I'm on the wire," Wallenda responded, then beginning to pray harder. "Lord, you are my everything. Lord, you are my all in all. You are my peace, my strength, my wisdom, my guidance. ... Yeshua. Jesus. You're my rock. My salvation. Sorcerer. King. Everything. Lord, you are my everything. ... Glory to your name. Glory, glory, glory. ... Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Discovery Channel, for believing in me. Thank you, Jesus."

Is it just me, or does it look like he's blaspheming the Holy Ghost when he called Jesus a sorcerer?

Mat 12:31  Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Mat 12:32  And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Also - the next time he does this, and let's say there's one little misstep he makes...he's really going to know his eternity by then...

Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Yes, it did!

But honestly, I have to say while he was doctrinally wrong, Jesus Christ is still preached, and that we rejoice for.

"What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice." Philippians 1:18 (KJB)

Good question.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. I do believe that he thinks he was acting like a Christian, that he was praying to Jesus. Why he said "sorcerer"? In the spirit of, "ye might well bear with him", maybe he was led astray by false teachers in how they describe a sorcerer?

Obviously, "out of the abundance of the heart...", he did call Jesus a sorcerer.

I was trying to hunt this down, this calling the Lord a sorcerer. I have found a reference from the Babylonian Talmud that calls the Lord a Sorcerer. It was the crime they claim they used against him to kill him.

Quote
AND A HERALD PRECEDES HIM etc. This implies, only immediately before [the execution], but not previous thereto.33  [In contradiction to this] it was taught: On the eve of the Passover Yeshu34  was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald went forth and cried, 'He is going forth to be stoned because he has practised sorcery and enticed Israel to apostacy.

That seems to be the source of this, and apparently most Jews believe this. So it makes you really wonder wha this guys beliefs are?

Seems this is the reason...

17  Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18  No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
19  There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
20  And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?
21  Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
John 10:17-21 (KJB)

So some Jews did/do believe Jesus had a devil, or was acting like a sorcerer. Maybe that lie carried on among some unbelieving, eventually becoming like a stereotype. But how strange because that's from an evil perspective, yet there are some "Christians" who think it's okay? Could they be really twisting this...

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these [things]." Isaiah 45:7 (KJB)

Amazing how true scripture is. These Jews were told by Moses himself about Jesus, and they still reject Him.

"Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." John 1:45 (KJB)

"For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me." John 5:46 (KJB)

Thats what i thought at first, but the Talmud is very against Jesus. I cant see how you could be for him, following the law and all, and follow such an evil book
