It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Okla. disaster serves as preparedness warning

The images of searchers frantically combing through the debris of an elementary school and ground stripped of grass give us a stark portrayal of the massive F4 tornado that devastated the Moore, Okla. community Monday.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Moore and all those in the path of the tornadoes that have ripped the Midwest in the past few days. People who wish to make a donation can support American Red Cross Disaster Relief by visiting redcross.org, dialing 1-800-REDCROSS or texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

While tornadoes of the magnitude of the one that struck Moore Monday aren’t that common in Ohio — just 22 tornadoes of an F4 or F5 magnitude in the state’s history — but the lessons of the catastrophes in 1974 in Xenia, in 1999 in Cincinnati and in 2002 in Van Wert — as well as the destruction left in southern Ohio a year ago — still are fresh in our minds and reminder to be prepared for tornadoes or strong storms that can produce strong winds.

Regardless of what the threat is, the key is preparedness.

If you don’t have a safety plan for your home and family, create one. Learn the location of designated shelters at your workplace, school and other public buildings you regularly visit.

• Involve everyone in the planning. For your family, make sure you discuss the difference between weather watches and warnings and what should be done in case of floods, storms or potential tornadoes. In your workplace, ask about how essential business services will continue if disaster strikes.

• Have a good escape plan. In the workplace, make sure you have two escape routes per room and find a meeting place away from the business for everyone to gather. Families need the same parts of the plan, but also need to make sure they include instructions for anyone who needs special assistance or help getting to a safe area.

• Practice the plan. Businesses should conduct evacuation drills at least every quarter, while families should regularly practice fire or tornado drills. Practice how to protect yourself and others during severe storms.

• Ensure any disaster tools are in working order. Weather radios, flashlights, smoke detectors and other helpful devices should be checked regularly and a fresh power source should be maintained to make sure you are aware when disaster may be imminent.

All of these tips, and a few more, can be followed to better prepare your co-workers and family in case of severe weather.

No one can prevent severe weather, but we can be prepared for the potential of disaster. A little preparedness will go a long way to protecting those you love.

Here is a good reason to always carry like a small emergency bag in your vehicle. You might want to change it out from season to season...

Monster 100-Car Crash Clogs Pennsylvania Highway

A massive traffic pileup shut down part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Friday morning, as an estimated 50 to 100 vehicles crashed, flipped or spun out amid the slushy roadway — another impact of Thursday’s monster storm.

The main wreck occurred around 8:20 a.m. ET on a 3- to 4-mile stretch of the eastbound lanes in Bucks County, north of Philadelphia, reported NBC Philadelphia. A snow-related speed restriction — forcing cars to go no more than 45 miles per hour — had just been lifted at 6 a.m.

A local hospital in neighboring Montgomery County received 11 people with minor injuries and five trauma patients, officials said.

Among the vehicles that spun out or rolled over are SUVs, two big rigs and a jackknifed tractor-trailer.

The chain-reaction crash appears to be the result of a rampant winter storm that dumped a second batch of snow along the East Coast and promised a rough commute for millions Friday morning.

The storm pummeled states from Virginia to Vermont on Thursday, dumping as much as 28 inches of snow, canceling thousands of flights, and causing at least 21 deaths. Utility firms reported that about 424,000 customers still had no electricity early Friday morning.

After a short reprieve, the snow ramped back up on Thursday night. While the second wave stopped around midnight in Washington, D.C., it was expected to continue until 6:30 a.m. ET in New York City and even later in Boston.

Thought I would throw this out here...

From my experiences with Katrina(and observing other "calamities" like 9/11) - pretty much watch out and guard yourselves from all of these so-called "churches" in your area - b/c they're the ones playing a very large role working arm-in-arm with Caesar. Remember when Katrina happened, FEMA rolled out the Clergy Response Team, while they went door to door confiscating everyone's guns(among other things)? Well, as it turned out, this includes pastors both I and my family crossed paths with frequently - we had no idea at the time they were working with FEMA(and doing so quietly), but outwardly they were putting the burden on their PEWS, acting like their "faith was being tested"(and got into other "works" based stuff like working with Habitat for Humanity with building homes, partnering with public schools and other businesses, taking money from Joel Osteen, etc).

One more thing forgot to add...

Next time these Churchianity folks say how your "faith is being tested", just remember these verses...

2Peter 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2Peter 3:15  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

Proverbs_25:27  It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
