Looks like National Geographic wants to help prepare U.S. citizens/So. California for some kind of disastrous emergency situation too. This is from their casting department's newest show "The Numbers Game" :

Synopsis The Numbers Game is a new series on the National Geographic Channel hosted by data scientist Jake Porway about the science behind what really impacts our health, well-being, and success. From mind-bending statistics, hilarious man on the street experiments, and interactive game play, this show delivers the answers to life's mysteries and gives viewers tools to improve their everyday lives. Project Notes "The Numbers Game" on the National Geographic Channel. We are looking for a Southern California family that is HIGHLY disaster-prepared to weather a serious catastrophic event. (They don't have to be over-the-top, though impressive stockpiles are totally welcome.) The Numbers Game" on the National Geographic Channel. We are looking for a Southern California family that is HIGHLY disaster-prepared to weather a serious catastrophic event. They should have at least 3 months worth of food and water on hand. (The stockpile doesn't have to be crazy-huge, though impressive stockpiles are completely welcome.) This segment is meant to be an informative piece on how to design a practical disaster-preparedness plan and discuss all of the factors families should take into consideration when putting together their own disaster kit and a family emergency plan. This would involve a half- day of filming at the family' s home to see the survival materials they have stored, and their disaster-proofed part of the house or outside shelter if they have one. Compensation is $600 for the whole family. Must be located in Southern California.We would like to film this on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH but could shift the date to match the family' s availability. 1/2 day of shooting.
