It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Physician claims she's communicating with her son's spirit

video: http://video.foxnews.com/v/2718237010001/physician-claims-shes-communicating-with-her-sons-spirit/?playlist_id=930909787001

Mom's Communication With Dead Son's Spirit Will Turn Skeptics Into Believers

When I first read the headline "Physician Claims She's Communicating With Her Son's Spirit," I kind of rolled my eyes. Okay, I didn't kind of, I totally did. I tend to err on the side of skepticism when it comes to postmortem communication. But after watching an interview with Dr. Elisa Medhus, who claims she's in frequent communication with her late son -- and we're not talking doors randomly slamming shut kind of communication here, we're talking serious communication -- I may be a bit of a believer.

Not a huge believer, but a believer.

According to Medhus, three days after her son Erik took his own life, he appeared before her husband to tell him he was okay. As she tells it, Erik, who was standing near his truck, said to his father, "Papa? This is how I felt before ..." and leaned in, exuding a "horrible sadness." He then backed away and said, "This is how I feel now ..." and, again, leaned in, but this time, radiated "a euphoria." Since then, Erik has communicated with his parents many times, as well as Elisa's father, who's "an atheist."

Maybe it's the fact that Medhus is a physician who was raised by atheists, or the fact that she's just really convincing, that makes me tend to buy what she's selling a bit. I mean, isn't the basis of doctors' entire professions science? And the belief that nothing exists beyond it? Sure, it's totally plausible that people believe what they want to believe after they lose someone they love, but when you take Medhus' medical background and her atheist upbringing, it's a little hard to dismiss her totally.

Check out Medhus' interview on Fox and Friends and you be the judge. Her story is super interesting -- even if you don't believe her.

No thanks. Not interested in stories about people communicating with devils.

It's has been proven that people tend to feel that they can communicate with their beloved ones who passed way is just an illusion.

It's not an illusion that people can communicate with the dead. See "the witch of Endor".

While it can and has happened, most end up contacting evil spirits instead. Not good, and is why it's a sin in the law.

Wescott and Hort were necromancers.

Pt being that it seems like especially since the NIV hit the market in 1978, and churches across America started embracing it, it seems like there's been an exponential increase of self-professing pastors, missionaries, Christian leaders, etc supposedly having these "dreams" and "visions" from God over future events, etc. One time recently, some guy at my church claimed he had a dream one night that someone approached him, and told him that "You were born to be a Christian".(of course, this is heresy b/c Jesus Christ says we have to be born AGAIN, of the water and of the Spirit)

Yes, there's a passage in Acts that talks about in the end times people have dreams and visions, but that's talking about the TIME OF JACOB'S TROUBLE/ISRAEL in the end times.

Acts 2:14  But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 2:15  For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
Act 2:17  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18  And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Act 2:19  And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Act 2:20  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Yeah - next time someone tells you they have a dream or vision from God - first ask them which chapter and verse, and if they get out a non-KJB bible to look it up, ask them to look it up in the KJB.

A Catholic: Father Johnathan Morris, guy works for FOX and is there #1 go to guy
An Atheist: David Silverman, President of American Athiests
and A Rabbi: Rabbi Aryeh Spero an author.

Cheesy Yes it was such a diverse discussion.

Verses 17 and 18 is talking about believers being given the Holy Ghost ("...out of my Spirit..."), and what they will do as a result of having the Spirit in them.

Speaking the Word is prophesying, and learning from the Spirit through "visions" and "dreams" is how God guides and protects us. While at the time this was spoken by Peter, yes, those present were Jews, he's describing how it will be for the end times, which is about Christians vs. non-Christians. In the end, it's not about Jew or Gentile, bond or free, it's about belief and unbelief among ALL people. I also believe this is not something that is exclusive to just the 7 year tribulation period, nor is it exclusive to Jews. It's the end times. The final seven years is basically the wrap up of the end times to usher in the 1000 year reign on earth.

Young and old men in Christ WILL have visions and dreams from God. As for unbelievers, their visions aren't from God, "because there is no light in them".

OK, I think I have a better understanding of this passage now. Thank you. Smiley
