Christian Teens Terrorized by Demon After Bringing 'Dirty Magazine' to Church Lock-In in Anti-**** Film

'The Lock In,' Premiering January 2014, Takes on 'Growing Epidemic' of **** Addiction

A new "found footage" horror film called "The Lock In" from Holy Moly Pictures takes on ****ography consumption and addiction — what producers call "a growing epidemic in the church community" — by linking the dangers of **** consumption to demonic activity.

The movie, shot in a style made popular by cult classic independent film "The Blair Witch Project," focuses on three teens who take a ****ographic magazine to an overnight church lock-in as a joke. The only trouble is, the joke turns into a nightmare, and not just for them, but for the other youths participating in what should have been a fun bonding event.

"Movies have always been a good medium to highlight social issues. ****ography is a growing epidemic in the church community for men, women, and children with most of the underage victims being exposed in a place thought to be safe," reads a description of the film in a press statement from the producers.

According to a 2009 report by Focus on the Family, "an estimated 28,258 people every second, mostly men (72 percent) but also women (28 percent) view ****ography." The report also noted that Christians were not immune from **** consumption, revealing that 45 percent of Christians have said ****ography was a big problem in their homes.

In addition to being entertaining, the producers, Christian comedian Rich Praytor and Beverly Banks, say they want "The Lock In" to be used "as a tool for conversations about the dangers of ****ography and the importance of being aware."

In regard to the demonic aspect tied to the film, they explain that the "demon is a metaphor for the true damage ****ography can have in the lives of youth."

"The Lock In" is void of any graphic or ****ographic images.

"The producers of the film felt that it was important to tell a Christian story about real issues but to keep the images family friendly so anyone could be entertained without fear of exposure to questionable pictures," reads the press statement.

The official website for "The Lock In" features a backstory or mythology for the film, similar to "The Blair Witch Project," that cites the church where the captured-on-tape demonic activity unfolds at "First Baptist Church." There is credit given to "the families and the First Baptist Church for their cooperation in releasing the footage to the public."

First off(before I get into the topic of the OT) - are youth "lock ins" in these churches even biblical? Youth groups aren't to begin with(as we've discussed here) - but these "lock ins"(at least from my experiences when I attended them) are even worse. Pretty much more opportunities for "group think" and getting into sin for these kids as they are staying up all night into the morning without any parental guidance. Both children and adults alike need to get their REST at night for 8 hours or so.

With that being said - this movie just looks very silly, as much as I hate to say it - not that I'm trying to defend p0rn or anything, but they're trying to link it with demons at some church "lock in"? Whatever happened to things like this being unedifying? Why didn't these kids take their bibles(at least from the short preview, they didn't have any)?

As for the addiction subject - this is my big beef with this word and how it's used - it's a lot like with gambling addiction...pretty much they say if you go to "gambler's anonymous" every week, you're going to be "cured" of it. However, what ever happened to bible verses like...

Matthew_6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Philippians 4:11  Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

1Timothy_6:8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

All of which are completely edifying in the faith. Yeah, like I was saying, just from that short preview, it doesn't look like even the pastor there even had a bible in his hand, much less said a word about any scripture. I don't know, maybe that's why demons infiltrated that church, b/c he and they came in un-armed.
