The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Google’s DeepMind Machine Generated-Speech Breakthrough Moves Ever Closer To Human Speech

U.K.-based DeepMind, which Google acquired for about 400 million pounds ($533 million) in 2014, developed an artificial intelligence called WaveNet that can mimic human speech by learning how to form the individual sound waves a human voice creates, it said in a blog post Friday.

9/9/16

Google’s DeepMind unit, which is working to develop super-intelligent computers, has created a system for machine-generated speech that it says outperforms existing technology by 50 percent.

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Daniel 12:4 (KJV)

U.K.-based DeepMind, which Google acquired for about 400 million pounds ($533 million) in 2014, developed an artificial intelligence called WaveNet that can mimic human speech by learning how to form the individual sound waves a human voice creates, it said in a blog post Friday. In blind tests for U.S. English and Mandarin Chinese, human listeners found WaveNet-generated speech sounded more natural than that created with any of Google’s existing text-to-speech programs, which are based on different technologies. WaveNet still underperformed recordings of actual human speech.

Many computer-generated speech programs work by using a large data set of short recordings of a single human speaker and then combining these speech fragments to form new words. The result is intelligible and sounds human, if not completely natural. The drawback is that the sound of the voice cannot be easily modified. Other systems form the voice completely electronically, usually based on rules about how the certain letter-combinations are pronounced. These systems allow the sound of the voice to be manipulated easily, but they have tended to sound less natural than computer-generated speech based on recordings of human speakers, DeepMind said.

WaveNet is a type of AI called a neural network that is designed to mimic how parts of the human brain function. Such networks need to be trained with large data sets.

‘Challenging Task’

WaveNet won’t have immediate commercial applications because the system requires too much computational power: it has to sample the audio signal it is being trained on 16,000 times per second or more, DeepMind said. And then for each of those samples it has to form a prediction about what the soundwave should look like based on each of the prior samples. Even the DeepMind researchers acknowledged in their blog post that this “is a clearly challenging task.” source

Rise of the superhumans: Woman has MICROCHIPS implanted in both hands so she can unlock doors without keys and never needs a computer password

Microchips planted in skin can now unlock doors and get into computers
Sydney's Shanti Korporaal had two of these implants inserted in her hands
Microchips, which are the size of a grain of rice, can be used like keys
Ms Korporaal set up a distribution service for implants called Chip My Life

Your body is no longer yours: Australia has become the first country to microchip its citizens

Friday, October 14, 2016 by: J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) You may not have noticed, but there are two kinds of countries in the world these days: Dictatorships led by authoritarians and democracies that are slowly being taken over by authoritarians. Put Australia into the latter.

Organic & Healthy reports that the land Down Under has become the first nation to begin microchipping its citizens, though NBC News predicted some years ago that, by 2017, Americans would all be microchipped.

Australia's drive to implant citizens with what many believe is the Biblical "mark of the beast" is "a clever propaganda campaign that equates RFID microchipping with becoming superhuman, and people are begging for it," News.com.au noted.

It's all about 'convenience'

One Australian woman, Shanti Korporaal, from Sydney, is at the center of a controversy after having implants inserted in both hands. "You could set up your life so you never have to worry about any passwords or PINs," she told News.com.au.

The idea is that microchip implants give you a unique identifier, so your implant can be used to get into locked doors, transfer personal information to smart phones and other personal devices – and, of course, allow you to be tracked everywhere you go by government.

Why would anyone voluntarily want to do that? One word, says one microchipping recipient: "Convenience."

As bad as it is to carry cards around that transfer personal and financial data to massive (hackable) databases and smartphones that serve as personal tracking devices – again, out of convenience - you at least have the option (for now) of leaving them behind when you go somewhere.

You don't have to take a smartphone with you, or at minimum you can learn some ways to better protect your information. With cards, if you must carry them, there are devices you can use to essentially shield them from ID thieves and tracking devices.

But once you put a tracking device under your skin, the only way to get rid of it is to have it surgically removed, or hack off your limb.

Would authorities actually track you for no reason? It's already being done.

As we reported in April 2012 that police departments were tracking cell phones without first getting a warrant, as required by the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution. In fact, the American Civil Liberties Union found that "many" of nearly 200 departments surveyed did so sans warrant. While some departments were getting the required warrant first, others "said they use varying legal standards, such as a warrant or a less-strict subpoena."

Why make it easier to track you?

The practice has continued. In July the Boston Globe reported that the city's police department had used "a controversial cellphone technology 11 times over the past seven years without once obtaining a search warrant..."

Another major problem is hacking and identity theft. In the NBC News report of several years ago, reporters noted that one of the "problems" that could be solved had to do with medical information: Chips would allow doctors and hospitals to have access to your identity and medical record if you were unconscious and unaccompanied upon admission (and how often does that happen?). But medical information is a top target of hackers and identity thieves. In fact, health care information is the most coveted by cyber thieves because data contained in health records – prescriptions, Social Security numbers, addresses, etc. – are much more permanent than, say, financial data (which is changed once a hack has been detected).

Privacy in a digital world comes at a premium as it is. Our retinas are scanned, our wallets are scanned, our online data is hacked and our movements are already being tracked – both by government and by private corporations. But all of those methods can be mitigated. It's very difficult to mitigate personal tracking when you're carrying the tracker inside your body.

The point is, if government can track you 24/7/365, government can control you as well.

Uber Taxi App Is Now Tracking Where You Go After Your Ride Is Finished

On its website Uber said: 'Uber collects your location data from the time of trip request through five minutes after the trip ends, including when the app is in the background. 'We do this to improve pickups, drop-offs, customer service, and to enhance safety. Trip Related Location Data is collected during the following times.'

12/3/16

Uber can now track their passengers’ locations after they are dropped off and even when their app has been closed.

A new update to Uber’s app allows the global taxi service to collect passenger data up to five minutes after a journey has finished.

Previously Uber had only been able to do this when their app was open.

The firm believe that the data will cut down on the frustrating back-and-forth often experienced by customers, as drivers try to ascertain exactly where their passengers are.

On its website Uber said: ‘Uber collects your location data from the time of trip request through five minutes after the trip ends, including when the app is in the background.

‘We do this to improve pickups, drop-offs, customer service, and to enhance safety. Trip Related Location Data is collected during the following times.’
On the app users can choose between two information sharing options labelled ‘Always’ and ‘Never’.

However, if riders choose the ‘Never’ option it means they will have to enter in their pick up and drop off details manually each time.

Uber has faced legal issues regarding passenger data in the past, and were forced to pay out $20,000 after a case in the US.

The firm paid the hefty fine after a probe into its ‘God View’ tool which allowed drivers to track passengers in real time. source

UAE Telecom Giant Etisalat Unveils Human Injectable Microchips To Replace Credit Cards For Purchases
by Geoffrey Grider

It might sound like something from a dystopian science fiction fantasy but you could soon be able to pay for goods and services with a microchip that is embedded in your hand, according to Etisalat officials.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16,17 (KJV)

The UAE telecoms giant Etisalat unveiled new injectable microchips, which store all your credit card, ID and business card data inside, for the first time in the Middle East at GITEX 2016 in Dubai.

The technique is called bio-hacking, where an alien device is embedded on the back of the hand between the thumb and forefinger using a special syringe, medical tattoo artist Hazim Naori told 7DAYS.

“We clean the skin with sanitiser and after this we put the marks exactly where we want to pierce it,” he said. “We insert the needle under the skin with a part of the need that pushes it in, and that’s where it settles and it needs a week or two to heal.”

Naori performed the implant for the first time on October 7 on George Held, from Etisalat’s Innovation team.

Speaking about the implantation, he said: “It’s like a piercing, it doesn’t hurt, but it feels a bit uncomfortable for the first day. The bio-hacking improves and enhances your body and will be not just a wearable device, but a device within yourself. You cannot replace or lose it, if you have an accident it’s still with you.”

Held warned, though, that before it can be commercially launched, decisions need to be made on what role it will play in society.

“There is no legality issue here. We already have agreements with Emirates ID and Visa and we issue a credit card with it through Etisalat, we have rights to issue those,” Held explained to 7DAYS.
He revealed that final costs for the procedure are not confirmed yet but it is expected to cost Dhs500 ($100) for both the injection and the gadget itself.

Asked if the information stored on the chip could be hacked with the right equipment, Naori said using the card would still require the necessary authentications.

“We have to internationally agree on the system and this is eventually going to happen, let’s be honest,” said Naori.

“Thirty to 40 years ago there were no bank cards and now I have a card with all my ID and sim card on it and put it in the machine without showing anyone my passport.

“It’s an electronic smart gate. It’s the same thing, instead of having the card you just have it under your skin and it verifies you.” source

‘Tesla’ Creator Billionaire Elon Musk Says ‘Humans Must Merge With Machines’ To Survive
Musk explained what he meant by saying that computers can communicate at "a trillion bits per second", while humans, whose main communication method is typing with their fingers via a mobile device, can do about 10 bits per second. In an age when AI threatens to become widespread, humans would be useless, so there's a need to merge with machines, according to Musk.

Billionaire Elon Musk is known for his futuristic ideas and his latest suggestion might just save us from being irrelevant as artificial intelligence (AI) grows more prominent.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO said on Monday that humans need to merge with machines to become a sort of cyborg.

“Over time I think we will probably see a closer merger of biological intelligence and digital intelligence,” Musk told an audience at the World Government Summit in Dubai, where he also launched Tesla in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“It’s mostly about the bandwidth, the speed of the connection between your brain and the digital version of yourself, particularly output.”

Musk explained what he meant by saying that computers can communicate at “a trillion bits per second”, while humans, whose main communication method is typing with their fingers via a mobile device, can do about 10 bits per second.

In an age when AI threatens to become widespread, humans would be useless, so there’s a need to merge with machines, according to Musk.

“Some high bandwidth interface to the brain will be something that helps achieve a symbiosis between human and machine intelligence and maybe solves the control problem and the usefulness problem,” Musk explained.

The technologists proposal would see a new layer of a brain able to access information quickly and tap into artificial intelligence. It’s not the first time Musk has spoken about the need for humans to evolve, but it’s a constant theme of his talks on how society can deal with the disruptive threat of AI.

‘Very quick’ disruption

During his talk, Musk touched upon his fear of “deep AI” which goes beyond driverless cars to what he called “artificial general intelligence”. This he described as AI that is “smarter than the smartest human on earth” and called it a “dangerous situation”.

While this might be some way off, the Tesla boss said the more immediate threat is how AI, particularly autonomous cars, which his own firm is developing, will displace jobs. He said the disruption to people whose job it is to drive will take place over the next 20 years, after which 12 to 15 percent of the global workforce will be unemployed.

“The most near term impact from a technology standpoint is autonomous cars … That is going to happen much faster than people realize and it’s going to be a great convenience,” Musk said.

“But there are many people whose jobs are to drive. In fact I think it might be the single largest employer of people … Driving in various forms. So we need to figure out new roles for what do those people do, but it will be very disruptive and very quick.” source

Stunner! U.N. plan to ‘mark’ world population

If you believe the Bible is true, then you know it’s going to happen.

The “Mark of the Beast” is a staple of prophecy, a development many evangelical Christians would take as a sign the end times have truly begun.

And Pastor Carl Gallups believes there are real, concrete indications the United Nations has already started making preparations to develop the very technology that could be used to register every single person on Earth.

He sounds the warning in his latest book, “When The Lion Roars: Understanding The Implications Of Ancient Prophecies For Our Time.”

Gallups expanded on the international plans under way on a recent episode of “SkyWatchTV.”

He cites a report from the U.N.’s 2030 Agenda, including a list of 17 “Global Goals.”

One of the goals is “legal identity for all, including birth registration.”

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is also working to implement biometric technology to identify and track refugees. The information will be stored in a central database in Geneva, Switzerland. Such a plan could be expanded to include the global population.

When asked if he was saying the U.N. was going to try to register the entire population, Gallups said those are not his words but those of the United Nations.

“I don’t make that prediction, but the U.N. has stated it in Agenda 2030,” he said. “In my book, I quote from the U.N. agenda. We know the Bible speaks in the last days there’s going to be some kind of a marking system. I go into the Greek words and the various possible explanations of what that means to receive, to take the mark. Several of the words hold something of the connotation of being ‘passed over.’ Of course, in our day in technology we know there is iris scanning, facial scanning. It’s pregnant with possibility.

“We know there is going to be a worldwide, a global marking system. The Bible says it.”

As Gallups admits, such an ambitious program could only be justified through euphemisms and benevolent rationalizations. He suggests Christians should be extra-aware when they start hearing seemingly unobjectionable reasons to support intrusive policies.

“They are going to identify every human, all 7 billion or however many by that time, on the planet for the purposes of … ‘peace and security,'” he said. “Now we have this global institution, the United Nations, saying: ‘Hey, I know what we could use this technology for! We could identify, put it in a big computer database, and we could mark every person on the planet, track them, take care of them, watch over them, grant them peace and security, grant them financial security, and all of these wonderful things. We’d have a utopia on Earth! Let’s mark everybody.'”

As Gallups concedes, such predictions can sound alarmist or even paranoid.

However, he points to prior predictions about the invasiveness of technology that sounded “crazy” at the time but are today accepted by ordinary Americans as normal or even desirable.

As the pastor noted, television manufacturers such as Samsung now directly warn consumers not to say “sensitive information” in front of their television because it could be sent to a “third party.”

“Years ago, I was talking on my radio program about how easy it would be to have a television set with a microphone, especially as things were going digital,” Gallups recalled.

“We would be told it would be used for marketing … it’s all in the name of ‘good things.’ We were laughed at 10 or 15 years ago for talking about that. Now the companies using them have in their instruction manuals warnings about how to use them cautiously, disclaimers: ‘Be careful what you say you say in front of your television.’ That’s just one example of what used to be conspiracy theory that used to be laughed at. But anyone with intelligence 10 or 15 years ago could see where things were going. How could you not envision that would be a reality one day?”

Now, Gallups maintains the warnings about what is coming next are similarly obvious for anyone who anyone who isn’t deceiving themselves.

“People ask if I think this is going to happen,” he said. “The answer is, something like this will happen because the Bible says it will happen. Will the U.N. do it? I don’t know. Will they pull it off by 2030? Don’t know; it may come off before then. It may happen that the world rejects it, the technology doesn’t quite measure to standards and it doesn’t happen for another 100 years.

“But the point is, you have a global institution, not only planning it, but putting it in writing and employing technology companies to pull it off. And they’re boasting about it and boasting about the benefits of it, and it’s leaping right off the pages of the Bible.”

Gallups argues those implementing the policy don’t know the full implications of what they are doing. But that won’t change their actions. He also suggested man’s pursuit of godlike technological powers has precursors in Scripture.

“By the time we get to Noah’s day [we’re told] men could do whatever their evil hearts desired,” the pastor said. “Now we don’t know the technology they had. We don’t know the full extent of what was going on. But we know it was wiped out. God said, I’m destroying it. … They knew something about genetics, they knew something about transhumanism, inhuman kinds of activities because the Bible says both man and beast were thoroughly ‘corrupted.’

“I think it’s being unveiled now. Jesus said we’re going to see it. It’s going to be like the days of Noah. And what’s the prevailing science and technology of today? We can create. We can be like God. We can give ourselves eternal life. We can mix humans and animals. We can make humans transhuman. We can recreate ecology. We can create anything! We can be like God.”

What is the solution? Gallups and the hosts of “SkyWatchTV” urge American churches to implement a prophetic prospective in their sermons.

“My point is to get America’s churches to wake up!” Gallups said. “We are now living in the most prophetic time since the first coming of Jesus Christ, the technology is now here, global institutions are planning, plotting it, writing it, declaring it, decreeing it and employing people to get it done. … We are the only generation in the history of the planet to see it coming to fruition and it can now happen.

“I’m not setting a date, but it can’t be too long before the return of the Lord because this thing is spiraling out of control.”

Compas and other products with similar algorithms play a role in many states’ criminal justice systems. “These proprietary techniques are used to set bail, determine sentences, and even contribute to determinations about guilt or innocence,” a report from the Electronic Privacy Information Center found. “Yet the inner workings of these tools are largely hidden from public view.”

by Geoffrey Grider May 1, 2017

When Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. visited Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute last month, he was asked a startling question, one with overtones of science fiction.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Ten years ago, a movie called Minority Report showed us a grim future were computers with secret algorithms were the determining factor in a person’s innocence or guilt, and what penalty they would pay if found guilty. In 2017, courts across America are using highly complex proprietary software with secret algorithms to sentence people to jail.

“Can you foresee a day,” asked Shirley Ann Jackson, president of the college in upstate New York, “when smart machines, driven with artificial intelligences, will assist with courtroom fact-finding or, more controversially even, judicial decision-making?”

The chief justice’s answer was more surprising than the question. “It’s a day that’s here,” he said, “and it’s putting a significant strain on how the judiciary goes about doing things.”

He may have been thinking about the case of a Wisconsin man, Eric L. Loomis, who was sentenced to six years in prison based in part on a private company’s proprietary software. Mr. Loomis says his right to due process was violated by a judge’s consideration of a report generated by the software’s secret algorithm, one Mr. Loomis was unable to inspect or challenge.
A Conversation with Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr.:

Start watching at the 10:30 mark to hear Robert’s statement on technology and the criminal justice system.

In March, in a signal that the justices were intrigued by Mr. Loomis’s case, they asked the federal government to file a friend-of-the-court brief offering its views on whether the court should hear his appeal.

The report in Mr. Loomis’s case was produced by a product called Compas, sold by Northpointe Inc. It included a series of bar charts that assessed the risk that Mr. Loomis would commit more crimes.

The Compas report, a prosecutor told the trial judge, showed “a high risk of violence, high risk of recidivism, high pretrial risk.” The judge agreed, telling Mr. Loomis that “you’re identified, through the Compas assessment, as an individual who is a high risk to the community.”
Pre-Crime will Blow Your Mind:

The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled against Mr. Loomis. The report added valuable information, it said, and Mr. Loomis would have gotten the same sentence based solely on the usual factors, including his crime — fleeing the police in a car — and his criminal history.

At the same time, the court seemed uneasy with using a secret algorithm to send a man to prison. Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, writing for the court, discussed, for instance, a report from ProPublica about Compas that concluded that black defendants in Broward County, Fla., “were far more likely than white defendants to be incorrectly judged to be at a higher rate of recidivism.”

Justice Bradley noted that Northpointe had disputed the analysis. Still, she wrote, “this study and others raise concerns regarding how a Compas assessment’s risk factors correlate with race.”

In the end, though, Justice Bradley allowed sentencing judges to use Compas. They must take account of the algorithm’s limitations and the secrecy surrounding it, she wrote, but said the software could be helpful “in providing the sentencing court with as much information as possible in order to arrive at an individualized sentence.”
The company that markets Compas says its formula is a trade secret.

“The key to our product is the algorithms, and they’re proprietary,” one of its executives said last year. “We’ve created them, and we don’t release them because it’s certainly a core piece of our business.”

Compas and other products with similar algorithms play a role in many states’ criminal justice systems. “These proprietary techniques are used to set bail, determine sentences, and even contribute to determinations about guilt or innocence,” a report from the Electronic Privacy Information Center found. “Yet the inner workings of these tools are largely hidden from public view.” source

AI Predicts Autism From Infant Brain Scans
By Megan Scudellari
Posted 15 Feb 2017 | 19:00 GMT

Twenty-two years ago, researchers first reported that adolescents with autism spectrum disorder had increased brain volume. During the intervening years, studies of younger and younger children showed that this brain “overgrowth” occurs in childhood.

Now, a team at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, has detected brain growth changes linked to autism in children as young as 6 months old. And it piqued our interest because a deep-learning algorithm was able to use that data to predict whether a child at high-risk of autism would be diagnosed with the disorder at 24 months.

The algorithm correctly predicted the eventual diagnosis in high-risk children with 81 percent accuracy and 88 percent sensitivity. That’s pretty damn good compared with behavioral questionnaires, which yield information that leads to early autism diagnoses (at around 12 months old) that are just 50 percent accurate.

“This is outperforming those kinds of measures, and doing it at a younger age,” says senior author Heather Hazlett, a psychologist and brain development researcher at UNC.

As part of the Infant Brain Imaging Study, a U.S. National Institues of Health–funded study of early brain development in autism, the research team enrolled 106 infants with an older sibling who had been given an autism diagnosis, and 42 infants with no family history of autism. They scanned each child’s brain—no easy feat with an infant—at 6-, 12-, and 24 months.

The researchers saw no change in any of the babies’ overall brain growth between 6- and 12-month mark. But there was a significant increase in the brain surface area of the high-risk children who were later diagnosed with autism. That increase in surface area was linked to brain volume growth that occurred between ages 12 and 24 months. In other words, in autism, the developing brain first appears to expand in surface area by 12 months, then in overall volume by 24 months.

The team also performed behavioral evaluations on the children at 24 months, when they were old enough to begin to exhibit the hallmark behaviors of autism, such as lack of social interest, delayed language, and repetitive body movements. The researchers note that the greater the brain overgrowth, the more severe a child’s autistic symptoms tended to be.

Though the new findings confirmed that brain changes associated with autism occur very early in life, the researchers did not stop there. In collaboration with computer scientists at UNC and the College of Charleston, the team built an algorithm, trained it with the brain scans, and tested whether it could use these early brain changes to predict which children would later be diagnosed with autism.

It worked well. Using just three variables—brain surface area, brain volume, and gender (boys are more likely to have autism than girls)—the algorithm identified up eight out of 10 kids with autism. “That’s pretty good, and a lot better than some behavioral tools,” says Hazlett.

To train the algorithm, the team initially used half the data for training and the other half for testing—“the cleanest possible analysis,” according to team member Martin Styner, co-director of the Neuro Image Analysis and Research Lab at UNC. But at the request of reviewers, they subsequently performed a more standard 10-fold analysis, in which data is subdivided into 10 equal parts. Machine learning is then done 10 times, each time with 9 folds used for training and the 10th saved for testing. In the end, the final program gathers together the “testing only” results from all 10 rounds to use in its predictions.

Happily, the two types of analyses—the initial 50/50 and the final 10-fold—showed virtually the same results, says Styner. And the team was pleased with the prediction accuracy. “We do expect roughly the same prediction accuracy when more subjects are added,” said co-author Brent Munsell, an assistant professor at College of Charleston, in an email to IEEE. “In general, over the last several years, deep learning approached that have been applied to image data have proved to be very accurate,” says Munsell.

But, like our other recent stories on AI out-performing medical professionals, the results need to be replicated before we’ll see a computer-detected biomarker for autism. That will take some time, because it is difficult and expensive to get brain scans of young children for replication tests, emphasizes Hazlett.

And such an expensive diagnostic test will not necessarily be appropriate for all kids, she adds. “It’s not something I can imagine being clinically useful for every baby being born.” But if a child were found to have some risk for autism through a genetic test or other marker, imaging could help identify brain changes that put them at greater risk, she notes.

Swedish Commuters Freak People Out As They Use Microchip Implants To Purchase Daily Train Tickets
Microchip implants are not new in Sweden, and an estimated 20,000 people already have them, using the devices to swipe in and out of the office, and even pay for food. The creepy technology raises security and privacy issues, as the data generated could be used to track people. SJ Rail is not offering to microchip people itself, and passengers wanting to use the service must already have the futuristic technology.

6/16/17

The days of having to remember to grab your travel card on your way out of the house could soon be a thing of the past. SJ Rail, a Swedish rail operator, claims that up to 100 of its customers are embedding microchip implants into their hands to pay for their journey.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16,17 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: Think the Antichrist will have a hard time getting people to take his mark? Think again. In countries like Sweden, people want to use implanted microchips so badly that they are chipping themselves and forming support groups to chip other people! How many chipped in Sweden so far? 20,000 and counting. The ironic part is that they are so eagerly preparing themselves for something now they have no idea will one day, in the time of Jacob’s trouble. send them to Hell for receiving. NFC chip today, mark of the beast tomorrow is how it rolls in the end times.

The creepy technology raises security and privacy issues, as the data generated could be used to track people. SJ Rail is not offering to microchip people itself, and passengers wanting to use the service must already have the futuristic technology.

Microchip implants are not new in Sweden, and an estimated 20,000 people already have them, using the devices to swipe in and out of the office, and even pay for food.

Speaking to the Sun Online, Stephen Ray, press officer at SJ, said that the idea was put forward by a technology start-up in Stockholm called Epicenter, where many of the staff are already implanted with microchips.
NFC chip today, mark of the beast tomorrow:

Listen as the man says “our corporate customers are asking for it…the technology is in the baby steps now, but people are demanding it”.

While the scheme is currently only available in Sweden, the country’s travel system uses the same Near Field Communication (NFC) as contactless bank cards, and London’s oyster cards, suggesting it could be used further afield one day.

The futuristic project has not been without its hiccups, and has also generated concerns over passenger privacy.

One flaw in the system meant that rail staff would sometimes be shown a passenger’s LinkedIn profile instead of their ticket information.

But Mr Ray reassured that the problem was quickly resolved, saying: ‘That’s why we call it a trial.’

Peter Dahlqvist, Head of SJ Business Sales said: ‘SJ is already one of Sweden’s most digital companies, so this new project could be started up very quickly.

‘The microchip ticket is a good example of how we are happy to try out new ideas alongside customers and help to force the pace of digital development.’ source

PLEASE NOTE: Taking an NFC microchip implant NOW is NOT the Mark of the Beast mentioned in the Bible. In order to have the Mark , the Beast must be present. But you can consider what is happening now as unsaved people preparing themselves to take the Mark when the time of Jacob’s trouble begins after the Rapture of the Church.

iPhones And Siri Are Getting Ready To Take Over By Integrating Into Every Aspect Of Our Daily Life
Apple’s preview of iOS 11, with deeper integration of Siri than ever, suggests it hopes to make Siri capable of doing nearly everything on an iPhone that we currently do through its touch interface. Apple has also made many acquisitions related to augmented reality—the overlay of computer interfaces and three-dimensional objects on a person’s view of the real world—including Primesense and Metaio. Mr. Cook has said he is so excited about AR he wants to “yell out and scream.”

6/26/17

It’s 2027, and you’re walking down the street, confident you’ll arrive at your destination even though you don’t know where it is. You may not even remember why your smartphone is telling you to go there.

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:17 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: The progress and advancements being made now on smartphones, specifically the iPhone, are mind-boggling. But what a lot of people are missing as they embrace this new technology is the degree to which we are ceding control of our daily lives to our electronic minders. The Internet Of Things is now controlling our home heating and air conditioning systems, our cars, our finances, shopping, how we travel and our daily schedules. And that iPhone you currently hold in your hand is getting ready to take up residence inside your hand. Don’t believe it? You better.

There’s a voice in your ear giving you turn-by-turn directions and, in between, prepping you for this meeting. Oh, right, you’re supposed to be interviewing a dog whisperer for your pet-psychiatry business. You arrive at the coffee shop, look around quizzically, and a woman you don’t recognize approaches. A display only you can see highlights her face and prints her name next to it in crisp block lettering, Terminator-style. Afterward, you’ll get an automatically generated transcript of everything the two of you said.

As the iPhone this week marks the 10th anniversary of its first sale, it remains one of the most successful consumer products in history. But by the time it celebrates its 20th anniversary, the “phone” concept will be entirely uprooted: That dog-whisperer scenario will be brought to you even if you don’t have an iPhone in your pocket.

Apple is busy putting ever more powerful microprocessors, and more wireless radios, in every one of its devices. Siri is getting smarter and popping up in more places. Meanwhile Apple is going deep on augmented reality, giving developers the ability to create apps in which our physical world is filled with everything from Pokémon to whatever IKEA furniture we want to try in our living rooms. All these technologies—interfacing with our smart homes, smart cars, even smart cities—will constitute not just a new way to interact with computers but a new way of life. And of course, worrisome levels of privacy invasion.

Apple’s acquisitions—it buys a company every three to four weeks, Chief Executive Tim Cook has said—tend to be highly predictive of its future moves. Since it first bought Siri in 2010, Apple has continued to make acquisitions in artificial intelligence—Lattice Data, Turi and Perceptio among them, all of which specialize in some form of machine learning. The company is reportedly working on its own chips for AI.

By 2027, the problem of bulky AR headsets like Microsoft’s HoloLens should be solved, which means Apple and others are likely to release some sort of smart eyeglasses. With their ability to convincingly supplement our visual and auditory reality, delivering information at the time and place most appropriate, they’ll occasion a cultural change as big as the introduction of the smartphone itself.

Medical system goes full “mark of the beast” with Unique Patient Identifier tracking

(Natural News) For some of us, visiting the doctor is an uncomfortable and invasive process. Being examined by and telling a complete stranger how we feel can be very difficult for many. At the very least, we would expect that information to remain private, safely tucked away in the doctor’s records, for his or her eyes only. But a new bill signed by President Trump is poised to strip this right to privacy from every American citizen.

Back in 1996, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) called for Health and Human Services to issue every single citizen with a “unique patient identifier” (UPI). This UPI would be a unique number linking each person to their complete medical history, and would be accessible by about 800,000 parties, including hospitals, doctors, researchers and public health departments. The legislation caused an immediate public backlash, prompting Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) to amend a 1998 spending bill to prevent the use of any federal funds for the development of UPIs. The congressman’s maneuver threw a spanner in the works, and the development of UPIs essentially ground to a halt.

Until now, that is.

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society reports that a simple UPI is no longer considered a sufficient solution, and “the focus has shifted to patient data matching and the need for a coordinated national strategy across the public and private healthcare sectors.” They further report that the nation’s healthcare community has been given a “clear mandate … to adopt electronic health records and health exchange capability.”

This move by President Trump is likely to prove very unpopular. A 2002 article by Gallup noted that increasing use of the Internet was leading to an “e-health” environment in the United States, which was causing privacy concerns for both consumers and medical professionals. It referenced an earlier 2000 poll which found that 78 percent of respondents wanted to maintain the status quo with regard to their health information, namely that no person or party should have access to their private information without their express permission.

It is highly unlikely that the passage of time has altered the fact that very few people would be comfortable having their “demographic data, genetic information, family histories, treatments, personal comments, hospitalizations, and lifestyle information” available to all and sundry.

This is highly sensitive information which could be used against the patient in multiple ways.

Let’s imagine, for example, that you are applying for health insurance for your family. You complete and submit your paperwork, only to have the insurer deny you cover because several members of your family carry the BRCA1 gene and are genetically predisposed to breast and other cancers.

Having all that private information freely available would also make you vulnerable to identity theft. This type of crime already affects over 15 million U.S. citizens each year, resulting in $50 billion in financial losses.

Since your information would be freely available to researchers, it would also be almost impossible for you to avoid becoming an involuntary participant in a research project you might be morally opposed to.

And, of course, a database like this would allow the government to determine your compliance with the CDC’s inflated childhood vaccine schedule, using strong-arm maneuvers like those used in California to force you to vaccinate your children. This would include vaccines which have damaged countless children across the world, including the MMR and HPV vaccines. [RELATED: Discover 10 outrageous but true facts about vaccines that the CDC and vaccine industry don’t want you to know.]

The fact is, our medical history is personal, private and sensitive, and we have the right to expect that these records be kept private.

‘Until a reboot do us part’: Japanese guys are marrying VR brides (VIDEO)

The ‘couple’ exchange vows and gaze into each other's eyes via VR headset before engaging in a remarkably awkward first kiss as husband and wife in front of their equally 'real' wedding guests.

The concept stems from the anime video game 'Niitzuma Lovely x Cation' in which players can develop and foster relationships with virtual girlfriends.

For players in particularly committed relationships with their anime paramours, the game’s creators developed a way for the couples to be joined together in virtual matrimony.

No update as of yet on how the couple spent their first night as husband and wife. On a separate note, VR sex suits are now a thing.

DARPA Reveals $65 Million ‘Matrix’ Program To Plug Soldiers Brains Directly Into A Computer
The goal is 'developing an implantable system able to provide precision communication between the brain and the digital world,' DARPA officials said. It has selected its five grant recipients for the Neural Engineering System Design (NESD) program, which it began at the start of this year.  Brown University, Columbia University, The Seeing and Hearing Foundation, the John B. Pierce Laboratory, Paradromics Inc and the University of California, Berkeley will all receive multi-million dollar grants.

7/10/17

The US military has revealed $65M of funding for a ‘Matrix’ program to develop a ‘brain chip’ allowing humans to simply plug into a computer. They say the system could give soldiers super-senses and even help treat people with blindness, paralysis and speech disorders

EDITOR’S NOTE: Conspiracy theorists have been talking about this for years, now in a bold move, DARPA drops the pretense and admits the existence of these secret programs designed to create an army of half-human, half-machine ‘super soldiers’ to fight in the their phony wars. Trans-humanism is real, and coming to a neighborhood near you very soon.

The goal is ‘developing an implantable system able to provide precision communication between the brain and the digital world,’ DARPA officials said.

‘These organizations have formed teams to develop the fundamental research and component technologies required to pursue the NESD vision of a high-resolution neural interface and integrate them to create and demonstrate working systems able to support potential future therapies for sensory restoration,’ official said.

Four of the teams will focus on vision and two will focus on aspects of hearing and speech.

The work has the potential to significantly advance scientists’ understanding of the neural underpinnings of vision, hearing, and speech and could eventually lead to new treatments for people living with sensory deficits.
The Six DARPA funded Matrix programs:

Brown University team led by Dr. Arto Nurmikko will seek to decode neural processing of speech, focusing on the tone and vocalization aspects of auditory perception. The team’s proposed interface would be composed of networks of up to 100,000 untethered, submillimeter-sized ‘neurograin’ sensors implanted onto or into the cerebral cortex. A separate RF unit worn or implanted as a flexible electronic patch would passively power the neurograins and serve as the hub for relaying data to and from an external command center that transcodes and processes neural and digital signals.
Columbia University team led by Dr. Ken Shepard will study vision and aims to develop a non-penetrating bioelectric interface to the visual cortex. The team envisions layering over the cortex a single, flexible complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) integrated circuit containing an integrated electrode array. A relay station transceiver worn on the head would wirelessly power and communicate with the implanted device.
Fondation Voir et Entendre team led by Drs. Jose-Alain Sahel and Serge Picaud will study vision. The team aims to apply techniques from the field of optogenetics to enable communication between neurons in the visual cortex and a camera-based, high-definition artificial retina worn over the eyes, facilitated by a system of implanted electronics and micro-LED optical technology.
John B. Pierce Laboratory team led by Dr. Vincent Pieribone will study vision. The team will pursue an interface system in which modified neurons capable of bioluminescence and responsive to optogenetic stimulation communicate with an all-optical prosthesis for the visual cortex.
Paradromics, Inc., team led by Dr. Matthew Angle aims to create a high-data-rate cortical interface using large arrays of penetrating microwire electrodes for high-resolution recording and stimulation of neurons.  As part of the NESD program, the team will seek to build an implantable device to support speech restoration. Paradromics’ microwire array technology exploits the reliability of traditional wire electrodes, but by bonding these wires to specialized CMOS electronics the team seeks to overcome the scalability and bandwidth limitations of previous approaches using wire electrodes.
University of California, Berkeley, team led by Dr. Ehud Isacoff aims to develop a novel ‘light field’ holographic microscope that can detect and modulate the activity of up to a million neurons in the cerebral cortex. The team will attempt to create quantitative encoding models to predict the responses of neurons to external visual and tactile stimuli, and then apply those predictions to structure photo-stimulation patterns that elicit sensory percepts in the visual or somatosensory cortices, where the device could replace lost vision or serve as a brain-machine interface for control of an artificial limb.

‘The NESD program looks ahead to a future in which advanced neural devices offer improved fidelity, resolution, and precision sensory interface for therapeutic applications,’ said Phillip Alvelda, the founding NESD Program Manager.

‘By increasing the capacity of advanced neural interfaces to engage more than one million neurons in parallel, NESD aims to enable rich two-way communication with the brain at a scale that will help deepen our understanding of that organ’s underlying biology, complexity, and function.

‘A million neurons represents a miniscule percentage of the 86 billion neurons in the human brain.

‘Its deeper complexities are going to remain a mystery for some time to come. But if we’re successful in delivering rich sensory signals directly to the brain, NESD will lay a broad foundation for new neurological therapies. ‘

The program’s first year will focus on making fundamental breakthroughs in hardware, software, and neuroscience, and testing those advances in animals and cultured cells.

Phase II of the program calls for ongoing basic studies, along with progress in miniaturization and integration, with attention to possible pathways to regulatory approval for human safety testing of newly developed devices.

As part of that effort, researchers will cooperate with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to begin exploration of issues such as long-term safety, privacy, information security, compatibility with other devices, and the numerous other aspects regulators consider as they evaluate potential applications of new technologies.

‘The goal is to achieve this communications link in a bio-compatible device no larger than one cubic centimeter in size, roughly the volume of two nickels stacked back to back,’ DARPA has said previously. source

Wisconsin Company Three Square Market Holds ‘Chip Party’ For Employees Excited To Be Microchipped
Three Square Market has received international attention since it announced the voluntary microchip program, believed to be the first of its kind in the United States. The microchip program is voluntary. If willing, employees allow the company to implant a Radio-Frequency Identification chip between the thumb and forefinger.

Wisconsin company Three Square Market is held a ‘chip party’ Tuesday to implant excited employees with RFID microchips.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16,17 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: We have always maintained that when human implantable microchipping began in America, people would be excited to be chipped, even holding ‘chip parties’ to celebrate their embrace of the new technology. That is exactly what happened today at Wisconsin company Three Square Market. There is no Mark Of The Beast without the Beast of Antichrist, but this is really good example of, when the Beast does arrive after the Rapture of the Church, how people will line up around the block to receive his Mark.

Three Square Market has received international attention since it announced the voluntary microchip program, believed to be the first of its kind in the United States.

Guess who got microchipped!? Hurt a bit. Not too bad. Like a mean pinch. @WISN12News pic.twitter.com/GMVVJoAC4e

— Tim Elliott (@WISN_Tim) August 1, 2017

The RFID chip will open doors, log in to computers, and make purchases from vending machines. The technology is similar to mobile pay services like Apple Pay and Google Wallet.

Three Square Market assures employees that they will not be able to track them because the chip does not have GPS. Data on the microchip is encrypted.

A closer look at the microchip! Lots of national & international media here to see employees get chipped. They’re calling it a “chip party”! pic.twitter.com/jmLdF9owET

The company says the chip is FDA approved. It is removed “similar to a splinter.”

A reporter from our Milwaukee partner station WISN is covering the “chip party.” Tim Elliott had a chip implanted and tweeted that it “hurt a bit … like a mean pinch.” source

You think it’s not ever going to happen? It’s happening now--starting with employees of the Swedish firm Epicenter who lined up recently to have microchips implanted in their hands.

Just last week a Wisconsin company called Three Square Market (32M) became the first in this nation to implant employees with microchips. Executives with the company, which provides technology for small markets and kiosks, claimed that convenience is the incentive for the new procedure.

“This is the future,” Todd Westby, the company’s CEO, said last week in an interview on the Today show. “We want to be part of that" as he also shares in great detail in the 1st video below.

Work ease and efficiency are other factors. With just the swipe of a hand, employees will be able to unlock doors, operate office equipment, open lockers and even buy snacks, according to an Associated Press report.

In both companies, the procedure has been offered to employees on a voluntary basis. But the real question is why the elective guinea pigs stepped up to the plate in the first place. Didn’t they get it when a nationwide campaign advised young people being plied with drugs to Just Say No. Of course, Christians who have read Revelation 13 and just about anyone else who has ever heard of the best-selling Left Behind books know the Biblical warning about taking the Mark of the Beast.

“And he forced everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark in their right hand, or on their foreheads, so that no one could buy or sell, unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast….” Rev. 13:16-17 Rev_13_16.jpg

That’s right, we are warned of a day when the mark, which signifies allegiance to the coming dictator called the Antichrist will be mandatory. Without it, you would have to go underground and become part of a wandering band of fugitives, borrowing, begging and stealing just to survive.

But never worry--because of their faith and knowing the eternal consequences, Christians would never voluntarily take the Mark of the Beast in their skin, mandatory or not.

Or would they?

We are told that Epicenter employees not only lined up and held out their hands for the insertion of a grain-size microchip between their thumb and forefinger but held parties afterward. Now the Three Square volunteers plan a “chip party” in August to celebrate their initiation into the quasi-club.

Lately Google has made prophecy news because of its 2016 patent of a “needle-free blood draw” device designed to be helpful for diabetics. It is described as a finger-pricking gadget that can be used to measure glucose levels.

That sounds harmless enough, but an article on the Truther.org site called it “worse than the RFID chip” since it captures a person’s DNA and eventually could be used to control, drug, and enslave mankind, just as prophesied in Revelation 13.

Writer Nate Brown stated, “It’s a well-known fact that Google works hand in hand with the US government, and it is no surprise that Google will one day play a major role in the downfall of mankind.”

That day may be coming closer, according to prophetic dreams and visions shared in books, blogs and prophecy sites on the Internet. They describe a time when Christians, lukewarm and otherwise, will fall in line like sheep to take the mark-- even risking the outpouring of heaven’s wrath and eternal separation from God.

When that happens, we have to wonder why: Are these believers drugged? Are they brain-dead?

What really, would it take to make a believer, especially one aware of the dire consequences, go over the edge and join the enemy forces, sabotaging his own free will? google_this.jpg

One answer is the use of psychiatric drugs that can potentially strip someone of rational thinking and rob them of their senses and better judgment. Chemist Dr. Les King discussed in The Guardian the possibility that mind-altering drugs could cause patients to become “zombified,” losing all free will. But he admitted that though it is possible, “it seems pretty unlikely.”

Recently Stefan Stanford wrote an ANP article about the mind-altering qualities of T.gondii, a tiny organism that lives inside cells of farm animals but can find its way into humans. This parasite can infect the brain and has been blamed for making people more impulsive and more prone to mental illness.

“Human beings quite frequently fall victim to some of the smallest microscopic 'creatures' known to mankind,” Stanford pointed out in his article, adding that “sometimes the very smallest forms of life on the planet are pulling the strings.”

A prophetic dream that Christian visionary Kauko Loukas had in 1999 prompted him to study one of these small creatures known as the thread-waisted wasp. The wasp’s sting injects a paralyzing poison into other bugs who then become the alpha insect’s willing bondslaves, so to speak.

“This paralyzing doesn’t mean the bugs that are stung can’t move,” Loukas reported. “They can, but once ‘vaccinated,’ they obediently follow the wasp into its hole where it lays its eggs into the body of the bug.

“So here we can see that even the most low-level insects like the wasp have the same inclinations as human beings who use others for their selfish interests. In my dream, I saw people, like the infected bugs, obediently following their perpetrator one at a time to their doom.”

Loukas’ dream prompted him to do a further study of mind-control drugs that can blunt the mind of someone so he or she isn’t a thinking person anymore, but a kind of zombified automaton who would follow the leader in authority.

“This study made me think that maybe a poison--or even a virus--could be developed that generates a certain kind of will-paralyzing chemical like the poison of the thread-waisted wasps,” Loukas said. “It would make the people obedient slaves of the masters in power.

“Then the government could call for a general mandatory vaccination for the flu or other man-made illness. That would be a usable pretense to inject such a virus.”

Psychiatric drugs like Thorazine and Haldol are also known to be able to create a zombie-like state in patients, like that seen after a lobotomy. In fact, Thorazine has been referred to as a “chemical lobotomy.” Rev_14_9_to_11.jpg

A USA Today Magazine article about the dark side of such drugs calls them “unpredictable and deadly to a person’s will.” Psychiatrists who were interviewed noted that drugs can sabotage a person’s thought processes to the extent he loses control of his own body.

At the same time, Irvin Baxter of Endtime Ministries points out in his online blog that people of sound mind can’t get the Mark of the Beast accidently; you have to make a conscious choice to receive it. But he adds that the Antichrist will make it easy, even desirable, to take his mark.

In fact, the Antichrist will claim to be God and promise all the blessings that God has provided for his people: protection, peace and prosperity—even eternal life. And since the mark will allow people to buy food, water, medicine and clothes, rather than resist, most of them will line up to get it as shared in the 2nd video below.

But Baxter points out that Revelation 14 promises that whoever receives the mark of the Beast, “shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God.” It is a permanent designation of ownership, a badge designating those who will be eternally lost, hence the mark of eternal destruction.

Who could put the case more clearly than the God of the Bible, the author of eternal salvation:

“If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he too will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever.” Revelation 14:9-11

CHIP PARTY: The World Embraces Human Implantable RFID Microchips As New Bionic Dark Age Begins
Some high-profile proponents of RFID Microchip implants include Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla cars and SpaceX, who said last year that humans must reach greater symbiosis with computers in order to stay relevant in a world of artificial intelligence.

If you’re prone to forgetting your card key for the office or your computer password, here’s a solution: Get RFID microchips implanted in your hand.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” Revelation 13:16-18 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: Everywhere you look, another group of people are willingly receiving an RFID microchip implant as the technology-fueled Bionic Age finally begins. Chip implants have gone from conspiracy theory to latest must-have device, much like the iPhone in 2007. Now that the world is hooked on mobile devices with an endless array of apps to control every aspect of our lives, adding an implantable chip is really the next logical step. Off in the wings, Antichrist is eagerly rubbing his filthy hands together, and grinning from ear to ear as the unsaved world gets ready to receive him. They will take his Mark, no problem.

That’s what Brian McEvoy has done multiple times. He’s got five implants, mostly for functional reasons but one just for fun.

“There’s a glow-in-the-dark implant on the back of my right hand,” said McEvoy, a 36-year-old electrical engineer from St. Paul, Minnesota. For years, owners have implanted microchips in their pets to recover them if they go astray. Farmers use them in cattle. Now, humans are experimenting with subdermal microchips, which are the size of a large grain of rice, to make modern life easier.

Ever so slowly, a trend that began in the hacker community is moving toward the mainstream. A Wisconsin firm that specializes in designing company break rooms, Three Square Market, announced last month that it was offering implanted chips to all its employees.

The chips will allow employees to “make purchases in the company’s break room market, open doors, log in to computers, use copy machines, among other things,” it said in a statement.

Many hackers gathered here for a recent global hacker conference, DefCon 2017, view implants as a way to interact seamlessly with a technological world and to enhance human senses. They await the day when microchips give humans the ability for echolocation, and to see infrared and ultraviolet light, enhance the capacity to smell, sense direction, even feel vibrations that reveal movement in the stock market.

It is a sharp departure from the use of implants, like pacemakers and insulin pumps, to restore function lost through impairment or ill health.

Tim Cannon, a software engineer who co-founded a company that sells implantable chips, Grindhouse Wetware, said some critics believe tinkering with the body’s capabilities is improper, even unethical.

“It tends to be viewed as something like hubris,” Cannon said.

But he doesn’t care. The coming years will be “about breaking through that barrier and saying it’s okay to want to be more than what biology offered you,” he said.
Dozens of hackers lined up on a recent night at the DefCon conference to have microchips installed in the fleshy web between thumb and index finger of their hands.

The biohackers call themselves “grinders,” a term taken from a comic book by Warren Ellis. The technology they implant is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Most opted for a small radio frequency identification (RFID) or a Near Field Communication (NFC) chip suitable for subdermal use.

“This is my train ticket,” said an Australian hacker who goes by the name Meow-Ludo Meow-Meow, pointing to a spot on his hand where a chip containing a rechargeable rail token was implanted. He said he just swipes his hand, rather than a ticket, over a rail sensor.

Implantable chips will soon carry out the functions of credit cards and keys, he said. “It can emulate every card in your wallet, so you can chuck your wallet away,” he said.

Some consumers fear that an implanted microchip will allow greater government surveillance, and only advances that “are spectacular can overcome that queasiness,” he said.

“If Johnny Depp puts one of these in his hand, they’ll be everywhere,” he added.

The public is certainly not there yet. A 2016 survey by the Pew Research Center found that seven in 10 Americans were “somewhat” or “very” worried about implanting a computer chip in the brain to improve concentration and the processing of information. The more religious the respondent, the less likely they were to favor such an implant, it found.
Cannon said the melding of technology and physiology can improve human experience.

“We need to stop pretending that we are perfect and the pinnacle of evolution,” he said. Implanting a chip can cause discomfort.

“There will be some blood, some pain,” said Doug Copeland, who works with one of the handful of companies that offer implants, Dangerous Things, based in Seattle, as he implanted a chip in a client’s hand.

“A lot of people frown on this kind of thing but it’s really not anything much different than getting a body piercing or a tattoo,” said a California man, giving his name only as Keith.

Others asked if the implanted chips could allow government surveillance (they contain no GPS, so no), or cause problems if a patient undergoes an MRI test in a hospital (maybe not advisable).

Copeland said he’d been through airport checkpoints numerous times and never been flagged: “Unless you show it to them, they don’t know it’s there. And if you show it to them, they say, ‘What the hell?’”

Some high-profile proponents of implants include Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla cars and SpaceX, who said last year that humans must reach greater symbiosis with computers in order to stay relevant in a world of artificial intelligence.

But the trend toward implants carries risks, warned Walter Glannon, a Yale-trained bioethicist who teaches at the University of Calgary, Canada. Studies have not yet determined “whether implants are safe,” he said. Even if safe, a social minefield may lay ahead.

“They would raise ethical questions about fairness and unequal access to devices that could give some people a competitive advantage over others. Unlike the drugs used for cognitive enhancement, implants would not be so accessible over the internet and would not be cheap. Many people would not be able to afford them,” Glannon said.

“This could be an unfair advantage.”

The threat that microchips could be hacked, possibly monkeying with people’s cognition or perception, is also a latent threat, he added.

For now, though, experimenters like McEvoy see no harm in what they do. The shielded tiny tube with a phosphorescent layer that he had implanted on the back of his hand is just for fun. It works like the dial of a watch that glows in the dark.

“There is no battery or switch so it is continuously bright. It’s possible to see in a dark room and I have shown it to people while at bonfire parties,” McEvoy said.

Manufacturers say implantable chips with greater memory and more “out of the box” functionality – such as starting a car, or measuring body functions such as blood sugar and oxygen levels – may be in the offing soon.

Eventually, said Meow-Meow, an implant could save lives.

“It can call an ambulance for you before you have a heart attack,” he said. source

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY: Walt Disney Accused of Illegally Tracking Children Via Apps in New Lawsuit
The suit claims Disney is violating the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. According to the suit, a Disney subsidiary, Playdom Inc., paid the largest civil penalty to date ($3 million) for violating COPPA in 2011. Rushing says L.L. was tracked while using the princess pets app, but the suit claims dozens of other games also track their users, including Club Penguin Island, Star Wars: Puzzle Droids, Frozen Free Fall and Disney Emoji Blitz.

The suit claims Disney is violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. A San Francisco mom says her child was illegally tracked while using the Disney Princess Palace Pets app.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Gone are the days when the Mouse was innocent, the 2017 version of Mickey is a bad boy. He makes theme park guests wear RFID tracking bracelets, he makes movies that indoctrinate children to the LGBT agenda, and now he is tracking innocent little kids as they have fun playing with Disney mobile apps. Welcome to the end times, where even Mickey and Minnie have gone rogue.

Amanda Rushing, on behalf of her child referred to as “L.L.,” is suing The Walt Disney Company, Disney Electronic Content and others in a proposed class action filed Thursday in California federal court.Rushing claims an advertising-specific software development kit is surreptitiously embedded in the code for the app, and that’s how Disney is collecting personal information and tracking online behavior.

“App developers and their SDK-providing partners can track children’s behavior while they play online games with their mobile devices by obtaining critical pieces of data from the mobile devices, including ‘persistent identifiers,’ typically a unique number linked to a specific mobile device,” writes attorney Michael Sobol in the complaint. “These persistent identifiers allow SDK providers to detect a child’s activity across multiple apps and platforms on the internet, and across different devices, effectively providing a full chronology of the child’s actions across devices and apps. This information is then sold to various third-parties who sell targeted online advertising.”

Disney makes it fun to have your every move and purchase chipped, tracked and recorded:

Sobol argues this is exactly the kind of practice the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act was enacted to prevent. Under COPPA, app developers and any third-parties working with them can’t legally collect personal information about children who are under the age of 13 without verifiable consent from their parents.

“Disney has failed to safeguard children’s personal information and ensure that third-parties’ collection of data from children is lawful,” writes Sobol.

Camera Glasses Capture Startling Moment South Carolina Cop Is Shot Point Blank By Robbery Suspect
The video — which was captured with a camera that Smith bought himself and placed on his eyeglasses — shows him exiting his squad car and politely asking Orr, who is on his cellphone, to stop. “Come here, man. Come here for a second,” Smith says. As he gets closer to Orr, Smith notices that he has his hand in his pocket as if he’s carrying a weapon. “Take your hands out your pocket!” Smith yells. “If you don’t stop, I’m gonna tase you. I’m not playing with you!” Orr takes a few more steps before finally revealing the weapon — a 9mm handgun — and opening fire.

8/11/17

Startling video footage captured by a South Carolina cop’s camera glasses shows the officer being shot three times at point-blank range — with him asking a dispatcher to “tell my family that I love them” in what he thought was his dying breath.

“For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to executewrath upon him that doeth evil.” Romans 13:4 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: Police officers across America risk their lives each and every day they show up for work, knowing that each day could be their last. For SC Officer Quincy Smith, it almost was. Officer Smith had purchased camera glasses on Amazon shortly before this heinous incident took place, and they perfectly captured the crime in real-time as it happened. After watching this video perhaps you will have a better understanding as to why police can sometimes be quick to use their weapons. Officer Smith didn’t use his in time, and it was nearly fatal. NTEB says a heartfelt THANK YOU to peace officers all across the nation, we really appreciate the job you do. To all the men and women in blue, thank you.

Officer Quincy Smith, of the Estill Police Department, managed to survive that fateful day last January after suffering two broken arm bones and a “life-threatening” neck injury, according to Hampton County officials.

His assailant, Malcolm Orr, 29, was found guilty of attempted murder and possession of a weapon and sentenced to 35 years Wednesday following a two-day trial.

“If but not for the grace of God and some very good doctors, this would not only have been a murder case, but a death penalty case,” explained 14th Circuit Solicitor Duffie Stone, who prosecuted the case.

Smith had been responding to a suspicious persons call on New Year’s Day 2016 when the shooting happened at about 11 a.m., authorities said.

A clerk at a local store told the officer that a man wearing camouflage and a red bandanna had been trying to steal groceries from customers. Upon his arrival, Smith spotted Orr walking away from the store and approached him in his vehicle.

I’m not playing with you!”

Orr takes a few more steps before finally revealing the weapon — a 9mm handgun — and opening fire.

“Shots fired!” Smith screams, while running back to his vehicle.

“I am hit. I am hit in my neck someplace,” he says. “Dispatch, please tell my family I love them.”

While cops initially said Smith was shot three times, he ultimately was fired upon “not once, not twice, not three times, or four, or five, or six, or seven, but eight times,” according to prosecutors.

Each of the spent bullet casings was placed on the railing of the jury box during Orr’s trial. It took jurors less than 45 minutes before they came back with their guilty verdict. source
